MA, qualified teacher
eLearning designer, JAMK
Doctoral student, JYU
I am eLearning specialist, educator and researcher with 10+ years of experience in teaching, research and development of digital pedagogies in higher education. I work as an eLearning designer at JAMK University of Applied Sciences, first at the School of Business (2016-2018) and currently at the School of Professional Teacher Education.
I also continue my PhD research on personal learning environments, digital literacies and participatory pedagogies in higher education. My research is situated in the Centre for Applied Language Studies (CALS, Solki) at the University of Jyväskylä.
The perspective for my work comes from personal and social aspects of learning. I believe that higher education should be regarded as a joint effort, co-produced by learners and teaching professionals together, with a basis in research and focus on the future of the students, whether it is in the academia, in business or in other fields of society.
Previously, I have worked at the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) Division for strategic planning as a Student Life coordinator (ePortfolio development 2012-2015), as a project researcher in the F-SHAPE project jointly at CALS and at the Finnish Insititute for Educational Research (2010-2012), and on various research and R&D projects.
